The Borussia Dortmund star has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks.
The Gunners have had two bids rejected for the Gabon international, 28, with Arsenal yet to meet Dortmund’s asking price, which is thought to be around £55m.
Dortmund are keen to offload the unsettled Aubameyang, who has had a number of disciplinary issues of late, but the Bundesliga giants will not sell him on the cheap.
And according to The Times, Aubameyang’s preferred destination is Arsenal, despite their lack of guarantees over Champions League football.
They reckon part of his choice is down to Wenger, who is well respected by Pierre Aubameyang, the striker’s father.

"Either our demands are fulfilled, then there can be another transfer or else they will not be fulfilled and Auba will play in Dortmund until the summer.
"So it is also discussed and accepted by the Aubameyang family."
