SKY SPORTS CONFIRM: Sanchez finally breaks silence on his future

Alexis Sanchez has revealed to Chilean media that he needs to play in the Champions League and a choice over his future rests with Arsenal.

The 28-year-old's future has been in question, with Manchester City and Bayern Munich quick to sign him this late spring while exchanges over another Arsenal contract have turned out to be extended.

Administrator Arsene Wenger trusts Sanchez will stay and said on Saturday he had held "positive" converses with the player, who is at present in the place where he grew up of Tocopilla in Chile on his post-season occasion, by means of instant message.

Be that as it may, Sanchez has been cited by Chile's Radio Sport expressing: "I have settled on my choice, yet now the choice must be taken by Arsenal.

"It relies upon them. I need to hold up to realize what they need. My thought is to play and win the Champions League. It's a fantasy I have had since I was close to nothing."

Sanchez had a broadened season playing for Chile at the Confederations Cup and has not yet come back to Arsenal's pre-season program, which is at present in Australia as a feature of a Far-East visit.

After the Gunners beat Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday, Wenger stated: "obviously (he will remain). There is not a considerable measure to determine with the player. I have talked through content and it was exceptionally positive. My musings are constantly positive."
