DEAL DONE :"He will be at Arsenal" - Arsene Wenger confirms 25-year-old will be at the Emirates next season

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere won't leave the club amid the mid year exchange window.

Late reports have guaranteed that the Englishman will join Sampdoria in Italy.

In any case, chief Arsene Wenger says there is still place for the 25-year-old in his squad.

The Frenchman has however made it clear that the midfielder needs to endeavor to appreciate standard football at the Emirates.

"I think Jack will be with Arsenal next season, yes," Wenger told correspondents.

"When he returns, he won't be a long way from honing with the group.

"He needs to endeavor to return and battle for a place in the group."
