Paris Saint-Germain reportedly would not have stand in the way of Christopher Nkunku should he want to join Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Nkunku has struggled for game time this season under Thomas Tuchel and is seeking an exit from the Parc des Princes.
And former boss Unai Emery could provide that having already worked with the player during his time in the French capital.
PSG have failed to convince Nkunku to sign a contract extension in the French capital, so by the summer, he’ll have just one year left on his deal. At that point, it’s either sell or lose him for free. Arsenal will certainly bid with that in mind.
If the player wants to leave and pushes for a move to reunite with his former boss Unai Emery, The Gunners hold most of the cards in negotiations.
You can understand why Nkunku would be feeling unsettled. He’s completed 90 minutes in just four league games this season, and he’s only started seven overall. That only seems to be getting worse in recent months, and he’s played 207 of the club’s last 990 Ligue 1 minutes.
