Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has emerged as a January transfer target for Roma.
The Egypt international has spent exactly three years at Emirates Stadium – an anniversary which he marked on social media earlier this week – and the African has made a total of 80 appearances in all competitions.
However, the midfielder has been linked with an exit before the end of the month, and Roma have made a move for the player.
The Italian giants are now only two points adrift of a top-four place in Serie A, but head coach Eusebio Di Francesco is still willing to add fresh faces to his squad before the end of the month.
The report adds that AS Roma are interested in a loan deal with an option to buy during the summer transfer window, although Arsenal may demand a permanent switch given their need to raise funds for new players.
The 26-year-old star has limited minutes under Unai Emery, and a switch to the Italian capital could be a great move for the midfielder as he has the potential to shine in the ranks of Eusebio Di Francesco in Serie A.
