ALMOST DONE: Arsenal keeper to secure exit

The Italian side Napoli are set to exercise their option to land Arsenal loanee David Ospina on a permanent deal in an upcoming month, according to the latest reports from Italy.

The Partenopei have an option to make his transfer permanent after he joined the club on loan the previous summer.

Ospina left Gunners after the arrival of Germany international Bernd Leno, which left him behind the German star and Petr Cech in the pecking order to be Gunners’ number one.

He has been a consistent figure at the back for the Naples-based outfit and started every UEFA Champions League fixture this season.

According to football news website Calciomercato.com, Napoli’s management have made their mind up and want to tie the star down to a long-term deal with the club.

The Colombian star has impressed in the Serie A and Gunners are willing to let him leave because of the good form of Bernd Leno at The Emirates Stadium.

The report states that Ospina’s father has praised Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti’s side for their treatment of David since joining the club.
