Mesut Özil going on loan will be the best option for the Gunners

Mesut Ozil’s future at Arsenal was thrown into further doubt on Wednesday after he was left out of the squad to face Tottenham.

Unai Emery refused to disguise the midfielder’s omission — openly revealing his decision was ‘tactical’.

 

The sources claim the Spanish manager knows he has a hugely talented player in the German, but he has wanted to see a positive reaction from him during what has been a tumultuous few weeks.

The former Germany international is treated which would have been unthinkable under Arsene Wenger.

 

It is claimed part of Unai Emery’s thinking is to spark a change in attitude from his attacker, but he is quickly running out of patience.

Emirates chiefs know the £350,000-per-week wages will prove a huge stumbling block in trying to shift the 30-year-old in the next two transfer windows.

They will not want to pay a percentage of his wages, but it is highly unlikely any club in Europe would take on such wages in full as well as paying a hefty transfer fee.

So, The Gunners could let him go on loan or leave for a cut-price fee with the buyer taking on his salary.
