Lyon star man on Arsenal's radar

Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar is reported to be on Arsenal's wanted list as the Gunners look to replace Aaron Ramsey.

Aouar has become one of the most in-demand midfielders in Europe following an impressive start to the season in Ligue 1, where he has scored five goals and provided a further three assists.

 That has kicked off speculation linking Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City with a swoop, but some reports are claiming the Gunners are in the box seat to do a deal. 

Arsenal boss Unai Emery knows the player well from his time in charge of Paris Saint-Germain and is keen to bring him in as a replacement for Ramsey. Ramsey looks sure to leave on a free transfer in the summer and Aouar is seen as the perfect replacement, although he would not come cheap as Lyon would be looking for at least £36million. 

It is also thought Arsenal would have to qualify for the Champions League to have any chance of luring the youngster away.
