Arsenal registered their sixth straight victory of the season with a 3-1 win over Brentford in the Carabao Cup, and fans are over the moon with the display of a particular youngster.
Unai Emery used the opportunity to hand starts to a number of fringe players, with the likes of Elneny, Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno all starting, he also handed a first competitive start to academy product Emile Smith-Rowe.
Although the 18-year-old failed to register a goal or assist, but his overall play was so impressive that he got the fans on social media comparing him to Kevin Debruyne.
Even though the Debruyne comparism is likely more due to the color of his hair than his playing style, big things are expected of the midfielder.
After announcing himself with a very impressive pre-season campaign, his chance at first team opportunities got even more clearer with the departure of Reiss Nelson on loan to Hoffenheim, leaving him with the League Cup and Europa league spots Nelson would have been occupying in the first team.
The midfielder who came off the bench against Vorslka in the Europa league last week is expected feature much more in the cup games, and hopefully perform well enough to make his Premier League debut this season.
