Leon Bailey still on Arsenal's radar

Arsenal in the hunt for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey and preparing to make an offer next summer. Gunners were linked with Jamaica international during this transfer window but the deal failed as German club rejected all offers from the London club. Unai Emery isn’t going to give up and planning to make another big in June.

Spanish manager wants to improve the front-line as he has no high-class attacker and Leon is the best option in this situation. Bailey appeared on big clubs radar last season as he played excellently in Bundesliga. Jamaican forward joined Leverkusen from Genk in 2017 with a £12m deal. Last campaign he played 34 games, scored 12 goals and made 6 assists in all competition. This is an amazing result for the first season and he can do much more with high-class teammates. The 21-year-old is contracted with Bayer until 2022 and his release clause is around £45m.

Chelsea also keen to sign him and there will be a real battle for the player. His price could increase and become much more. The London club will do everything to add Bailey as they need a top-class winger in the attack. Alex Iwobi and Mkhitaryan aren’t enough to fight for the titles and return in Premier League top 4.
