Mesut Özil reveals new iconic boot

MESUT OZIL has unveiled his new stunning Predator boots for the start of the new season - but they will knock you back £250 to get hold of a pair.

Ozil, 29, will don the new cleats from this Sunday's game against Manchester City at the Emirates.

The German struggled for his country during a torrid World Cup campaign before quitting the national team over allegations of racism.

But he has enjoyed a positive pre-season under new manager Unai Emery, who entrusted the playmaker with the captain's armband for the 5-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain.

And Arsenal fans will be desperate to see him continuing his fine form in his new Predator boots in the new season as he also takes Jack Wilshere's No10 shirt.

Ozil registered just four goals and eight assists in Arsene Wenger's final season at the Emirates.

He switched from rival brand Nike to Adidas towards the end of his time at Real Madrid in 2013, five years after initially leaving Adidas for Nike while plying his trade in Germany.

The new Predator boots are part of the Team Mode pack, modelled by Premier League stars Gabriel Jesus, Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba.

Adidas returned to the classic colourway of the Predator boot for their latest number with black, red and white, making the latest release an iconic boot and one that will surely be popular among players and fans alike.

But if you want to release your inner Mesut Ozil in the new season, you must be prepared to fork out a stunning £250 to bag yourself a pair of the laceless, slip-on boots.
