Arsenal set to anger Man City fans by signing this £95m rated super star man

Arsenal are set to enter the race to sign Riyad Mahrez who remains keen on a move away from Leicester City after the his failed deadline day move to Manchester City.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal have now joined the race to sign Mahrez who is already attracting interest from three other Premier League clubs.

Wenger is a big fan of Mahrez and this has led to Arsenal being linked with him since he guided Leicester City to the 2015/2016 Premier League title. However, the Gunners haven’t been able to get a move to happen.

Mahrez is keen on a move away from Leicester City but the Foxes have so far been able to block his exit. The winger tried to force a move last summer by submitting a transfer request but the Foxes snubbed it.

He submitted another request last week after City lodged a £60m bid for his services but his club’s £95m valuation was enough to put off the league leaders.

Mahrez is now hoping Guardiola will return for his services in the summer but City will face competition from Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United if they do.

Wenger has continued to monitor the Algeria international, by keeping regular checks on his attitude in training.

Arsenal recently began to spend big in the transfer market, smashing its club transfer record in two consecutive windows.

So I am confident we can pull of Mahrez’s signing despite the amount of clubs interested in him. Previous reports had claimed he dreams of working with Wenger and that should give us an edge over our rivals.
