Arsenal Trending Today: £45m offer planned, Real to steal top target, Striker to leave

Arsene Wenger confident over £45m offer will be enough to land 14 goals attacker

Arsene Wenger is confident Thomas Lemar keen to join Arsenal this summer and is set to approve a third offer for the Monaco ace, suggests stories.

Lemar is one of many footballers at the French club drawing significant interest after an amazing campaign in which Monaco won Ligue 1 while also reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Portuguese ace Bernardo Silva has already left for Manchester City, and he could be followed by Kylian Mbappe, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Lemar.

The North Londoners have already had two offers for Lemar turned down this summer. However, Wenger is settled to secure the Frenchman’s signature, even if it means spending over £45million.

The Daily Mirror suggest Wenger is convinced that Lemar will be going to the Emirates, having already landed Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.

Wenger is set to reinforce his midfield options in the coming weeks and, while Arsenal have asked about the chance of signing Riyad Mahrez from Leicester, Lemar stays the club’s top target.

Monaco are unwilling to lose another one of their star footballers, however, may be helpless to prevent Lemar’s departure if his agents push for a move.

While The Gunners still hope to finalise two or three significant signings this summer, several footballers are set to leave the Emirates with Carl Jenkinson and Kieran Gibbs probably moving on.

This season Lemar scored 14 goals and made 17 assists for the Ligue 1 champions.

Real Madrid moved in to collect €150m and sign top Arsenal transfer target

Real Madrid are set to offload Mateo Kovacic to Tottenham this summer as they attempt to fund a move for Monaco youngster Kylian Mbappe, according to stories.

The teenager is one of the most in-demand footballers in world football after a sensational season, where he netted 15 league goals and became the youngest scorer in a Champions League semi-final.

PSG have reportedly held face-to-face discussions with the teenager, and Real have made him a top target, while Arsene Wenger had hoped to convince him to join Arsenal.

However, with Monaco likely to hold out for a fee more than €150 million (£132m), any sides wanting to land Mbappe will need to break the bank.

And, as reported by the Evening Standard, that has prompted Real to listen to offers for Kovacic, who was limited to just 19 league starts last campaign and is itching for more game time.

He could fall even more down the Bernabeu pecking order if the club happily signs up Real Betis star Dani Ceballos, who is close to finalising a move to the Spanish capital for a bargain fee.

The possible sale of Kovacic would add more money to Real’s Mbappe transfer kitty, especially with James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata still at the club.

The 28-year-old Arsenal ace in talks to finally end frustrating spell at the Emirates

Fenerbahce will hold negotiations with Arsenal striker Lucas Perez’s agent this week, according to stories in Turkey.

The 28-year-old striker was left out of the Gunners’ pre-season trip to Australia, throwing his future at the Emirates into additional doubt.

The Spaniard, who has been pushed more down the pecking order at The Gunners North by the transfer of record-signing Alexandre Lacazette, is reportedly troubled with his bit-part status in the team.

And, as reported by Turkish news outlet Fanatik, Fenerbahce have ear-marked Perez as their top transfer target.

The Turkish side are expected to hold negotiations with the footballer’s agent this week to try and consider a loan agreement ahead of the new campaign.

The Former La Liga star will be offered the opportunity to reinvigorate his career at Fenerbahce and will be assured first team football, something he has tried to achieve at Arsenal.

The ex Deportivo La Coruna striker still has three terms left on his current contract, however, is expected to be loaned out temporarily this summer.
